In addition to our wide product portfolio, our manufacturing expertise helps deliver the best application specific solutions at an effective cost. All GPL films are manufactured in a vertically integrated, ISO 9001:2015 certified state-of-art manufacturing plant. The complete control on manufacturing process, from the manufacturing of petrochemical intermediate to the finished products, eliminates the dependency on other manufacturers, while giving us high control over our product range. This also ensures better performance and longevity for our range of products.

GPL products are patented and are being exported for more than 35 years to more than 80 countries. We have permanent sales offices in India, USA, UK and have regional representatives based in UAE, Russia, China, Brazil, Australia and Malaysia.
GPL is fully compliant with product testing and certification requirements for supporting sustainable and green movements for various global applications. Garware Polyester is one of the only two companies in the world that possesses the know-how to dye polyester films.

Sustainability is core to our vision of making our planet healthier. As a responsible Hi-Tech performance film manufacturing company, we seek to deliver long-term economic value to our stakeholders, while continuing to contribute to the environmental and social well-being of our communities. A Circular Economy approach is not only beneficial to the environment but also helps increase our profitability. By introducing new product variants that use post-consumer recycled PET (PCR), we became eligible for certification by various agencies and a member of APR (Association of Plastic Recyclers), USA. This will help to reduce carbon footprints and a step towards a circular economy. To Garware, that is not enough. We are relentlessly reducing our carbon-footprint and participating in the circular economy on an increasing basis.
Our ownership drives GPL plants to continually push the boundaries with initiatives to recycle, reduce, and reuse both industrial scrap and post-consumer waste as raw materials. More than just recycling polymer waste generated in our processes, GPL also buys post-consumer waste (PCR). The reprocessing of PCR helps divert plastic from landfills, lowers the threat to the environment, while we internally drive green-initiatives on solid waste management, waste-water recycling, and rainwater harvesting.
Additionally, GPL has innovated our ‘Green Fuel’ Biomass briquettes, used for steam generation, which further reducing our environmental impact. Our company has enhanced its reproducibility, safety, and sustainability through investment and installations of advanced technologies. One such example is GPL’s screw press technology that eliminates the use of sludge drying beds in the Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP). This reduces possible groundwater contamination and air pollution through passive, energy-free, vaporization. Also, GPL uses processes, like "blowdowns", to convert liquid to solid wastes thereby reducing handling and disposal of wastes. Using environment-friendly films used in consumer product packing has also made post-consumer recycling much easier.
The chemical processes at GPL factories are highly optimized to eliminate any atmospheric discharges. Installation of gas drying systems, scrubbers, solid separation filters ensures a green atmosphere. The closed-loop processes from PET resin as raw material to laminated films as final products ensure unpolluted products with zero environmental impact. To add, the company also manages a large plantation of more than 17,000 trees in and around the manufacturing location. In 2020-21 GPL was awarded Gold Medal by IRIM for the Indian Green Manufacturing Challenge and Sustainability.
